Upon the festival's completion, filmmakers returned to their destinations with reviews from the national and international press. There is where his film career actually began. He served as a festival coordinator during the very beginnings of the Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival. After noticing a lack of recognition of foreign and independent gay themed films released theatrically, Mr. Ameer founded the International Gay Film awards, the Glitter Awards. Mr. Ameer also negotiated a book deal with Blood Moon Production for the publishing of the 2005 Glitter Awards book now available in stores. Thanks to his efforts, there is now a permanent book of records to illustrate and educate and most of all archive these works on a yearly basis for future generations. He is also working on the follow up to the very successful DVD compilation of shorts Straight Men and the Men who love them.
Many don't know this but Jorge Ameer was the last person to re-open the historic Vogue theatre in Hollywood to show independent films. Films such as "Nico and Dani" and "Just one time" by now defunct Cowboy Releasing played at this theatre in 2001. Ameer leased the Vogue theatre from its owners Mann theatres. The theatre was gutted to make way for a nightclub that never opened. Mr Ameer is now part of the Hollywood Historic Cinema experience as he was the last entity to play films at what was a great film venue back in its day.
Currently, he's in pre-production with his latest 35mm project "The Dark Side of Love" about two brothers who have to confront their prejudices after the death of their mother will be lensing this summer '07 in Palm Springs and Los Angeles. Jorge Ameer's theatrical distribution company Hollywood Independents International recently opened its theatrical distribution operations in Central and South America with the theatrical release of Grande Ecole a film by Robert Salis.
The french film was censored and banned in Panama due to its explicit sexual content where Ameer's company was schedule to open it in theatres in January. Ameer took a trip to Panama to denounce the banning of this film. After outraged from the Panamanian press, the film opened successfully in Panama. It opened number one of the box office at the Alhambra-Plus Transistmica theatre beating Night at the Museum, Deja Vu. It broke box office record playing for eight weeks theatrically. The film continue its theatrical release through Central and South America. The film is now available on home video in the United States through Wellspring Home Video.

at the reception dazzled by the flash of the photographers, Luenell decided,“I want the whole enchilada!” Setting out to accomplish those goals to gain fortune and fame, she enrolled in theatre classes at the grade school level and continued through college and later performed at the Oakland Ensemble Theatre.
Her big move to Los Angeles came as the answer to destiny’s call. Luenell was naturally funny and encouraged by a friend of a friend she visited the Comedy Act located in LA’s Leimert Park district. There she met comic D.L.
Hughley. That was the beginning and it has been up up ever since.
Luenell is recognized by the mainstream and urban sectors of the population from her numerous BET Comic View appearances, DVDs such as Laffapalooza with Jamie Foxx, 2 Bees from Oakland and Comedy After Dark. The hip-hop cult classic film “Never Die Alone” in which she co-starred with DMX, playing a feisty bartender named Jasper and most recently the film BORAT: The Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, playing
“Mrs. Borat” has catapulted her to international fame. Since it’s debut, Luenell has been consistently in-demand. Recently she was featured on E! Entertainment’s The True Hollywood Story (Making of BORAT), EXTRA, TMZ,
Byron Allen’s Comics Unleashed, Kush TV, Star Media, Reelz TV, Wild N’ Out, and Short Circuitz to name just a few credits. Luenell’s booking engagement with Katt Williams’ “The Pimp Chronicles” remains solid with play dates

MINK STOLE (Star of "Eating Out 2", "Another Gay Movie")
Part of the original motley crew of cast players in underground shock master John Waters' bare-bones 8mm, 16mm and 35mm cult perversions during the late 60s and early 70s, Mink Stole was born Nancy Stoll in the late 1940s in Baltimore, Maryland. Waters took her under his wing in 1966 wherein she started "acting out" a number of his deviant creations for gross-out effect alongside other outré members that included transvestite actor Divine, Mary Vivian Pearce, David Lochary, Cookie Mueller and the not-to-be-believed grande dame Edith Massey. Calling themselves the Dreamland Players, Stole would become known as both the hysterical foil and vengeful nemesis of "leading lady" Divine, playing her annoying repulsive characters as pure evil incarnate. Her role in the infamous Pink Flamingos (1972) as Connie Marbles, the carrot-domed villain complete with outlandish cats-eye glasses and seedy fur coat, set the tone for her subsequent gallery of grotesques, including the tantrum-throwing girl-child Taffy Davenport in Female Trouble (1974), murderous housewife-on-the-lam Peggy Gravel in Desperate Living (1977), and corn-rowed hussy Sandra Sullivan in Polyester (1981), which was the first Waters film to star a legit actor -- Tab Hunter. Stole's movie time in Waters' campfests would grow less and less as his movies/parodies grew more and more mainstream, but she remained an altruistic player for Waters nevertheless, appearing in nearly every one of his films. In 1994, she did bits in his wide releases of Hairspray (1988), Cry-Baby (1990), Serial Mom (1994), Cecil B. DeMented (2000), and, his most recent, A Dirty Shame (2004).
She appeared in numerous tongue-in-cheek cameos for other dubious directing talents as well with tacky, tawdry titles that begged for straight-to-video release. Over the years, Stole has made the rounds on the experimental stage. She played Van Helsing in a production of "Dracula" and the title papal role in "Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All for You," not to mention bizarre, contemporary treatments of the Bard's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" and "A Winter's Tale." She recently attracted some attention in the play "Sleeping with Straight Men" which was seen on both coasts from 2002-2004. On the sly she has written an advice column, of all things, called "Think Mink" for a Baltimore newspaper. Mink Stole continues to reign as a prime film outlaw, having just completed a role in Another Gay Movie (2006) playing a character named Sloppi Seconds. Need I say more?
